When Kelly’s family faced some life-threatening diagnoses, they switched to a plant-based diet. As they set out to make food to address their health issues, they had some very humble criteria: it had to be simple, whole, nutrient dense and delicious. Something Kelly could feel really good about sharing with his children. Once he watched his family flourish, he knew he was onto something and set out to share it with others.

Kelly was raised on a farm where they always needed to develop something to help accomplish a task. This was the thinking he employed to address the issue at hand and in a short time, he developed the first WayFare technology. Since then, he’s made a few improvements but the core remains the same - and his commitment to the original principles never waver. As an engineer without a traditional food industry background, he was able to take a unique approach to creating plant-based foods. He used the modest principles he learned on the farm to create the technology WayFare uses to make their foods.

You’ll find WayFare’s food foundations are always based on whole ingredients, and nothing else. WayFare’s mission is to bless our world by creating incredible products – all from plants. WayFare relies on a zero-waste manufacturing system that uses only a very small fraction of the energy and resources needed to produce similar animal-based products.

WayFare is sold in retail locations across the country and direct to consumer via their website. WayFare products are also used as ingredients by restaurants and bakeries in the U.S. and Canada.
