Why You Should Listen
Marion Nestle is one of the most prominent experts in the fields of nutrition, food studies, and public health. In this engaging conversation, Marion explains how our food system is shaped by large corporations and advertising and what that means for our personal health. One of the main questions Marion answers is how Big Meat and Dairy have managed to get massive subsidies to make cheap, unhealthy food – but this is not a conversation simply set on the problems with our food system, she also gets into how we can all take action to stop this.
Being an expert in nutrition, she also debunks some myths about what is considered a “healthy diet” and sums up how to eat well in one sentence. If you’re interested in learning more about how our complex food system is crafted by government policies – and want to help change that, listen in!
