About This Episode
This episode features Christian Chamberlin, President of EFFECT Partners, a social change incubator that brings culture and business together to solve social and environmental challenges. Founded originally as a non-profit called Concerts for the Environment in 1990, EFFECT has served as strategic advisors to some of the world’s biggest bands and brands including U2, Dave Matthews Band, Live Nation, Apple and Clif Bar. In 2017, it created and spun off r.Cup to tackle the plague of single-use plastic cups at live events, a social impact business recognized by Fast Company as one of the top 100 most innovative brands in 2020.
Christian is a social change and communications consultant who has worked in support of environmental causes, climate campaigns and food system issues for more than 25 years. Christian joined EFFECT in May 2017 to serve as the Sustainability Manager for U2’s The Joshua Tree Tour, and, in 2018, joined the firm full time as its General Manager. Since then he has focused almost exclusively on helping advance the plant-based movement, including helping create Switch4Good, Vegan Strong and the Earth Day Network campaign to fight climate change with diet change.
